These resources may help you maintain a positive outlook during your job search:

  • Headspace is the national youth mental health foundation. It offers support for young people aged 12 to 25 for problems including depression, anxiety, stress, balancing work and study, alcohol and drug use, and personal or family relationship troubles. Its services include professional support at local Headspace centres and the eHeadspace national online and telephone service.
  • Get some mindfulness tips from the Black Dog Institute (mindfulness is a skill you can learn that reduces stress and depression).
  • Get some positive psychology tips from the Black Dog Institute.   
  • Head to Health - The Australian Government, through the Department of Health, has developed a new digital mental health gateway: Head to Health. Access a range of telephone based and online mental health services. Services range from telephone and web counselling, through to web-based treatment programs and peer support forums. The services are free of charge.
